Six of our fabulous Year 13 students had the very exciting opportunity to take part in the BBC Teen Summit 2026, hosted by BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Bitesize on Tuesday 20 October 2026 at Newcastle College.

The event formed one part of a national live broadcast giving young people a platform to share their views on issues that matter to them. Discussions covered topics such as social media, artificial intelligence, influencers, future careers, and wellbeing.

Hosted by Nicky Campbell, the summit brought together teenagers from across the city to participate in open and honest conversations that were broadcast live on BBC Radio 5 Live, with selected content featured across BBC News, Look North, BBC Radio 4 and social media.

This was a fantastic opportunity for young people to have their voices heard on a national platform and engage with topics shaping their future.
