In June, A-level Biology 14 students from Sacred Heart High School took part in the Royal Society of Biology’s Intermediate Biology Olympiad, a prestigious national competition involving over 16,000 students from more than 700 schools.
Designed to stretch and challenge students, the Olympiad covers a wide range of topics, from cellular biology and ecology to genetics. We are delighted to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our Sixth Form girls, who performed extremely well.
Kaelys Beuttler achieved the prestigious Gold Award, placing her within the top 5% of participants nationally. Daphne Diaz and Rebecca Jacob also performed superbly, each earning a Silver Award, awarded to only 10% of entrants. Further success came from Nerisse Medenilla and Ruby Taylor, who received Bronze Awards, achieved by just 15% of participants.
We are also very proud of all the girls who took part, many of whom were recognised with commendation and participation certificates, reflecting their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm for Biology.
