Design Award – Tiny Lives Special Care Baby Unit, RVI

Gifted artist, Suzanna Krupa (now Year 8) recently helped to design and win a competition to rebrand the parenting support programme for premature babies, born at Newcastle’s RVI Hospital.

As a reward, ‘Tiny Lives’ Specialist Care Babies Charity came into school to give Suzanna and her classmates a presentation about their work and to present her with a lovely, well-deserved prize.

This was an incredibly special moment for their teacher Miss Power, whose daughters were born and spent time on this unit at the RVI, and it helped inform students about potential future careers as a specialist care baby nurse or doctor.

Suzanna’s design was turned into a digital logo that is now being used as stickers, badges and posters to support parents and families on the neonatal baby unit at the RVI.
