Feast of the Sacred Heart - June 27

Today is a significant celebration in the Catholic Church that honours the deep and boundless love of Jesus Christ for humanity.

Today, Catholics will focus on Jesus' Love, reflect on His compassion, mercy, and unconditional.

This is symbolised by His heart, wounded and crowned with thorns.

The feast day highlights the need for saying sorry and seeking forgiveness  for sin.

In essence, the Feast of the Sacred Heart is a powerful reminder of God's intimate and enduring love, calling Christians to respond with love, trust, and conversion.

Today, with Saint Madeleine Sophie, we ask for the grace to learn from the Heart of Jesus how to let ourselves be loved and how to love.

WE PRAY ​

Saint Madeleine Sophie, You suffered harassment when you were young, but your heart, in Jesus, learned to accept the consequences. Your whole life has been centred on your relationship with Christ and with others, forming loyal friendships, forgiving generously, and governing with personal attention to each individual. ​

Intercede for us: that we may allow ourselves to be reconciled with God's love for us, and that we may in turn work for reconciliation and communion in our blessed and broken world.​
