Our talented Year 12 and 13 drama and dance students have had an inspiring start to the year, taking part in a series of professional workshops with internationally acclaimed physical theatre company Frantic Assembly.

Following their first workshop, with associate director Luca Rutherford at the beginning of September, students were invited to attend a second set of advanced sessions at Northern Stage, exploring the company’s unique approach to movement and devising. Both sessions challenged students to collaborate, experiment, and push their creative skills.
A special congratulations goes to Mariam Oguntade in Year 13, who has been awarded a coveted place on Frantic Assembly’s IGNITION Training Programme this summer in London. This national initiative offers young people aged 16 - 24 the opportunity to train with Frantic Assembly practitioners, gain professional experience, and work alongside other emerging artists from across the UK. It’s a remarkable achievement and a testament to Mariam’s talent and commitment.
