GCHQ Christmas Challenge

GCHQ have launched their annual Christmas Challenge card competition, and this year they’re looking for three designs, one from each of the following groups:

• Years 7–9

• Years 10–11

• Years 12–13

Your challenge:

Design a Christmas card with the theme: ‘What do you think GCHQ looks like on Christmas day?’

Rules:

Your design should be imaginative and carry a festive theme. It must also include a hidden puzzle or code. Along with your design, provide an explanation of how the puzzle works and give the solution. You can complete your entry either:

1. by hand on a printed entry form (available from the Computer Science office), or

2. as a digital image sized 210mm x 148mm.

Remember, your entry must be entirely your own original work.

If students have any questions, they can pop into the Computer Science office or ask their Computer Science teacher directly.

All entries need to be handed in to me by the end of the day on Wednesday 24th September.
