At Sacred Heart, we are proud to be part of an international initiative that brings together students and schools from across the Sacred Heart network: the JPIC Postcard Project. This creative and inspiring project invites students to reflect on how they live out the values of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) in their daily lives—and to share that witness with others.

Our Sixth Form Goals Ambassadors have taken the lead in designing postcards that capture how our school community puts JPIC into action—from environmental projects and charitable outreach, to acts of kindness and advocacy for change. These postcards have now been sent to 17 Sacred Heart schools across Europe, helping us build a tapestry of connection rooted in our shared mission.

In return, we’ve begun receiving postcards from other schools, each one offering a snapshot of their JPIC journey. These messages have been truly inspiring and remind us that we are part of a global family working together for a more just and compassionate world.

The project was coordinated by Noreen Heenan, the Sacred Heart Network Coordinator for Ireland, Scotland, and Malta, and is supported by Sr Rachel Guillien, who recently visited our school and several others to see JPIC in action. Sr Rachel spoke passionately about the hope and energy she’s witnessed from students, and we’re excited to find new ways to link our schools together.

This simple act of writing and receiving a postcard has become something much greater: a reminder that even small efforts can ripple out to create meaningful change. We look forward to seeing how the project continues to grow and to deepening our connections with Sacred Heart students around the world.
