We began every day in the final week of term by gathering together in year groups to celebrate our Christmas liturgies with the theme of 'Cloth for the cradle'. We were all invited to think about the burdens we may carry, write them down onto strips of fabric and during our liturgy, students brought them forward to place them into the crib to create a 'cloth for the crib'.
This reminds us of the importance of letting go of the things that hold us back so that we can experience the message of Christmas more fully.
By laying our burdens down, we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ, so that we can receive more of the beauty, love, light, power, peace and joy that God brings.
