In March, fifty committed musicians from Sacred Heart Catholic High School attended an educational visit to the Glasshouse International Centre for Music (previously known as the Sage Gateshead), to experience a live performance by the Royal Northern Sinfonia.
This excellent performance included a very wide range of orchestral music, from classical masterpieces to video game soundtracks, and was introduced by the saxophonist and broadcaster Yolanda Brown.
The trip provided an opportunity for our students to experience professional performance at a very high standard, and was highly inspirational to all of our budding orchestral musicians.
