Oh Sandra Oh!

On Wednesday July 1st, the Y12 Literature class went on a trip to London. We met VERY early at Central Station, whizzed to King's Cross, then went to Covent Garden for some shopping in the glorious sunshine.

After lunch at Wagamama's, we walked to the National Theatre to watch the production of THE MISANTHROPE - it was starring Sandra Oh, but, much to our disappointment, she was not on that day as she had lost her voice.

After the show, we were lucky enough to meet Mrs Perry's old friend Ghiv (PAUL CHAHIDI), who was also starring in the play and has most recently been seen on the BBC in The Night Manager 2. He was lovely and had a great chat with the students at the stage door.

We travelled back to Newcastle, tired, shopped out and having seen some great theatre. Bring on the next trip - Stratford upon Avon in September to see Jonathan Groff in As You Like It!
