We recently enjoyed a trip to France and Belgium focusing on WW1 battlefields and related historical sites. The experience was insightful, providing a deeper understanding of the war's depth and seriousness beyond what textbooks can offer. It included visits to battlefields, memorials and cemeteries, leading to new knowledge beneficial both personally and academically.
Additionally, the trip fostered a sense of unity and community among students, strengthening friendships within the school and with students from other schools. The rooming experience contributed to this bonding. The final day involved exploring the town centre and attending the Last Post at the Menin Gate. Many thanks to the teachers for organizing the trip and making the experience memorable.
