We were delighted to welcome back the prestigious Samling Academy to Sacred Heart Catholic High School; Samling are an internationally respected arts organisation who work with classical singers to train them to the very highest levels.
International opera singers Anush Hovhannisyan and Nick Pritchard, along with pianist Ella O’Neil, provided an inspirational interactive workshop, working with some of our young singers in a masterclass format, helping them to shape and perfect their performance skills. From vocal technique and language skills to communicating text and movement, our singers gained an insight into the level of commitment and discipline required to be a professional singer, with a final question and answer session providing an opportunity for students to ask questions about life in the music industry.
Anush Hovhannisyan and Nick Pritchard also gave spectacular performances from their own repertoire, which was an incredible experience for all present.
