Samling Futures Masterclass at Sacred Heart, Tuesday 20th January 2026

This January, we were delighted to welcome back the prestigious Samling Academy to Sacred Heart Catholic High School. Samling are an internationally respected arts organisation who work with classical singers training them to the very highest levels.

Award-winning opera singers Jessica Cale and Nick Pritchard, along with pianist Alfred Fardell, provided an inspirational interactive workshop. They worked with some of our young singers in a masterclass format, helping them to shape and perfect their performance skills.

From vocal technique and language skills to communicating text and movement, our singers gained an insight into the level of commitment and discipline required to be a professional singer. The workshop was followed by a final question and answer session providing an opportunity for students to ask questions about life in the music industry.

Jessica Cale and Nick Pritchard also gave spectacular performances from their own repertoire, which was an incredible experience for all present.
