Senior Choir Shine at Regional Competition

Our Senior Choir enjoyed a successful day performing at the North East Festival of Youth Choirs at the Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead on Monday 2nd February.  Participating in the Secondary Choir of the Year competition, our choir showcased their exceptional musicality, commitment and teamwork in a world-class professional performance setting.

Senior Choir contains singing students from years 9-13, who performed with confidence and maturity, representing the school superbly and impressing both audience and judges, including the choir’s favourite choral composer, Will Todd.  The opportunity to sing in such a prestigious venue was an invaluable experience, allowing students to demonstrate the results of their hard work while performing alongside other talented young choirs from across the region.

We are extremely proud of everyone involved for their dedication and professionalism throughout the day.  Congratulations to Senior Choir for a performance that reflected both their musical excellence and the high standards of Sacred Heart Catholic High School!
