On Wednesday 6th November, Year 12 attended a presentation delivered by Charlotte Clay a Psychotherapist from Newcastle University, as part of our 'My Future' sessions.
This engaging presentation covered Charlotte's pathway into Counselling then Psychotherapy and then to teaching student counsellors. Charlotte, who has a degree in English Language and a Masters in Psychotherapy, shared with students the different careers and specialisms available within this sector.
In addition, Charlotte discussed the relevant experience students would need, sharing examples of super-curricular activities that would benefit any application.
The session finished with a Q&A, where many students asked insightful questions on how to pursue a career in the mental health sector.
