SUMMER READING CHALLENGES FOR ALL

The Summer holidays are a great time to relax and get lost in a good book and there are a number of summer reading challenges that all of our Key Stage 3 students can get involved with.

Year 7 can continue with their Accelerated Reader quizzes and there will be prizes in September for quizzes passed and words read over the summer. We will enter students into a raffle for each quiz passed with a score of 85% or more so the more you read, the more chance you have to get a win in the raffle!

Year 8 can continue with Sparx Reader. There will be prizes for excellent accuracy, points collected and time spent reading.

Year 9 are invited to submit reviews to our librarians at kerry.bossons@shhs.org.uk or danielle.mcaloon@shhs.org.uk. There will be prizes for most heartfelt review, best one sentence review, best reason for not finishing a book and a raffle for all reviews submitted.
