Year 10 Ceramic Online Workshop with The National Gallery

Year 10 Ceramic Students took part in an artist online workshop with the National Gallery during their lesson this week. The session was delivered by two artists and focused on Mark Making in response to Vincent Van Gogh.

The students analysed artist work and created quick impressions through expressive line and mark making based on Van Gogh's art, particularly his landscapes. The gallery shared student artwork produced during the session. It was great to see Sacred Heart work showcased on the screen as part of the workshop, and hear positive feedback.

Students can interpret the work produced in the session back in their lessons and use to create texture and line in their ceramic pieces. We hope to work with the National Gallery more next year!
