Students in Year 10 Hispanic Studies have been immersing themselves in the fascinating history and culture of the Aztecs as part of their studies this term. Through exploring the origins, achievements, and traditions of one of the most significant civilisations in Mesoamerican history, students have gained a deeper understanding of the rich cultural heritage of the Spanish-speaking world.

As part of their learning, students took part in a creative project inspired by traditional Aztec warrior dress. They designed and created their own paper headdresses, carefully decorating them with brightly coloured feathers to reflect the vibrant and elaborate styles worn by Aztec warriors and nobles.

The classroom was transformed into a colourful display of creativity, with students demonstrating both their artistic skills and their growing knowledge of Aztec culture. The activity provided an engaging way to bring history to life and helped students appreciate the importance of symbolism, craftsmanship, and tradition within Aztec society.
