Year 13 visit to Newcastle University Pharmacy Department

Chemistry students in Y13 visited the Pharmacy Department at Newcastle University. Alongside being able to use the fantastic facilities to perform a number of A Level practicals, including making paracetamol (with lots of competition over who made the most!), carrying out melting point analysis and performing thin layer chromatography; students also got to experince the fantastioc universoty facilities and speak to current under and postgraduate students.
