This month, our Year 7 students have continued the beautiful tradition of planning and leading our Lunchtime Mass, prepared during Religious Studies lessons. Both 7S and 7C have taken on this responsibility with maturity, reverence, and a genuine sense of community.

7C: Celebrating the Feast of St Thomas Aquinas: 7C’s Mass took place on the Feast of St Thomas Aquinas, one of the Church’s greatest thinkers. To mark the occasion, pupils were invited to reflect on how they can use their own wisdom to guide them in using their gifts and talents.

7S: Listening for God’s call: During their Mass, 7S were encouraged to consider what God might be calling them to do in their lives. We touched upon themes of kindness, courage, service, and using their strengths to make a positive difference within our school and wider community.

Both classes prepared their own bidding prayers, writing a thoughtful variety of intentions. These included prayers for peace in our world, care for the environment, and gratitude for the gifts God has given each of us.

We are very grateful to Father Richard and Father Dermot for celebrating Mass with us and for being such a valued part of our Sacred Heart community. Their presence supports our pupils as they grow in faith, understanding, and confidence.
