BBCET French Translation Bee – Vive les championnes !

Congratulations to Ellie, Ameya, Safiya and Julia, who proudly represented Sacred Heart at the BBCET French Translation Bee held at St Thomas More, North Shields.

Competing against teams from St Thomas More and St Mary's, our pupils put their French language skills to the test across five challenging rounds. These included a one-minute quickfire translation challenge, an adjective translation relay where partners had to correctly use masculine and feminine forms, a one-minute speaking task describing another person, and a pronunciation round where pupils read a French text aloud.

Having practised hard throughout the year, the girls rose to the challenge brilliantly and were crowned French Translation Bee Champions!

As winners, they were awarded the prestigious Prix d'Excellence badge, a £10 Amazon voucher and a selection of French stationery.

We are incredibly proud of their dedication, teamwork and fantastic achievement. We look forward to seeing them take part in many more exciting French competitions in the future.
