This half-term, our Year 13 students have had a valuable PSHCE session on consent and healthy relationships by leading facilitator, Ben Oliver. He founded his company Worth Educating 10 years ago and has been providing young people within schools and colleges across the North East with education on healthy relationships in a way that allows them to consider their own values as they grow up.
The students took part in a discussion-based session where they learned about the kind of issues that they will navigate as they reach adulthood and participated in a dialogue about these important topics within a safe space. Ben helped them to understand their rights, as well as identify where to seek help if they had an important issue that they needed to discuss.
One Year 13 student said “The session was really informative. Don’t stop doing the sessions, they empower young girls!”
