A group of A Level Geography students took part in a trip to London this month. The visit explored several elements of the Human Geography course, beginning at Brick Lane where they explored how migration and identity shape urban spaces. At Battersea Power Station, they investigated changing land use, analysing how a former industrial site has been transformed into a modern mixed-use development. The group also visited Coal Drops Yard to gain a sense of urban regeneration in action, as well as a look around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to understand the impact of global events on local demography. Finally, the trip was rounded off with a celebration of international culture at the ABBA Voyage arena.
