Malicious Communications Sixth Form Presentation

On Thursday 3rd October, Year 12 students attended a session delivered by Claire O'Neil from Northumbria Police VRU: Violence Reduction Unit.
Claire, having worked as a Police Officer for twenty years, now works for the VRU delivering important presentations to students covering how to stay safe online, malicious communications, grooming and the law surrounding the sharing of indecent images.
This session focused on malicious communications and online grooming and informed students on how to spot the signs using 'The 7 P's', and where to seek help both inside and outside of school, if needed.
The session was extremely informative and allowed students to be educated on a serious and prevalent matter in a safe and supportive environment.
