The 11th and 12th December were informative days here in Sacred Heart, when we welcomed into school the VRU from Northumbria Police.
This experience allowed students in Year 9 to explore sensitive areas of Risk Management with experienced educators who have expertise on topics including drug and alcohol safety, knife crime, joint enterprise and county lines.
We understand that children with knowledge and understanding of Risk Management, are children who are more likely to keep themselves and those around them safe.
The feedback from students and Sacred Heart Teachers on these days was nothing short of fantastic, but I would also like make a fuss of our wonderful Year 9 students who brought their best selves and behaved as mature young people with enthusiasm and confidence, making their teachers and their school proud.
Well done Year 9!
