On Thursday 8th - Friday 9th January 2026, our GCSE Dance students took part in an exciting residential trip to London, packed with cultural experiences and professional dance training.

The trip began on Thursday with a walking tour of London’s most famous landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, and Leicester Square. Later in the day, students attended a performance of the brand-new West End musical 'The Devil Wears Prada'. Our students loved the performance and left the theatre feeling inspired and motivated.
On Friday, students took dance classes at the world-renowned Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden. They participated in a range of styles, including ballet, contemporary, theatre tap, commercial, and commercial jazz. Working alongside professional choreographers and dancers challenged their creativity, technique and expressive skills.
Throughout the trip, students demonstrated outstanding commitment, enthusiasm, and professionalism. They embraced every challenge and represented Sacred Heart exceptionally well. The experience will no doubt provide inspiration for their upcoming GCSE exams.
