Over the past few weeks, our school community has been reflecting on the theme of Remembrance. In Year 7 and Year 8, students have enjoyed special Chapel lessons as part of their Religious Studies curriculum, where we explored what it means to remember and honour those who gave their lives for others.

One of the key Scriptures we reflected on was: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13)This powerful verse helped us think about sacrifice, love, and the importance of peace in our world today.

As part of our reflections, students created beautiful poppies with meaningful messages such as:

  • “Lest we forget”

  • “We remember their sacrifice”

  • “They gave their tomorrow so we can have today”

These poppies have been added to a stunning central display, covering all the foyer doors and creating a Wall of Remembrance and Hope. This display is a visual reminder of gratitude and peace, and it shows how our school community comes together to honour those who gave so much.

Through prayer, creativity, and reflection, we have remembered the past while looking forward to building a future of peace.
