On Tuesday, 11th November, our school community came together to honour Remembrance Day, reflecting on the sacrifices made by so many and the importance of peace in our world today.
As a whole school, we observed the traditional two-minute silence, creating a powerful moment of unity and respect. During form time, prayers focused on the themes of peace and remembrance, encouraging students to think deeply about the significance of this day. This year, some of our Year 10 students designed and created their own Remembrance Day wreaths, which now form a beautiful and poignant display in our school foyer.
Continuing a proud Sacred Heart tradition, over 30 students from Year 7 to Year 11 arrived in their service uniforms, representing organisations such as Cadets and Scouts. Their presence was a visible reminder of the strong links our students maintain with the wider community and their commitment to service. We are incredibly proud of the respect and maturity shown by all our pupils.
Remembrance Day is always a special occasion at Sacred Heart, and this year was no exception. Together, we honoured the past, reflected on the present, and prayed for a future built on peace.
