2025's Christmas Concert was a delightful showcase of the incredible musical talent in our school, with performances from musicians from Year 7 through to Year 13. The evening kicked off with the Senior Choir, who performed Ariana Grande’s Santa Tell Me, followed by a selection of soloists and ensembles performing a variety of Christmas songs from across the ages.
The Senior Orchestra, some of whom were performing publicly for the first time, delivered a lively rendition of Sleigh Ride while the British Sign Language Choir, led by upper-school students Amy, Olive and Qirat, moved the audience with their signed performance of One More Sleep.
Sacred Heart Primary School’s choir 'The Winter Wonderland Warblers' added a magical touch with their energetic renditions of O Holy Night and Santa’s Coming for Us, then combined forces with the high school's Junior Choir to perform some traditional carols, continuing a cherished Sacred Heart tradition.
Other highlights included the Junior Choir’s jazzy take on Jingle Bells, Joan’s Jazz Journey’s Snow Better Blues, and Year 10 vocalists performing Mary Did You Know? Our Rock School students also entertained with New Saint's performing Santa Baby and Solarix blasting Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.
One of the evening’s most special moments was the debut of Flochestra, an a cappella choir led by Sixth Formers Flo Mauwa and Jane Onwudili, who performed a stunning version of Silent Night.
The concert closed with an uplifting finale, featuring over 140 students from the Senior Orchestra, Senior Choir and Junior Choir performing Somewhere In My Memory from Home Alone. A very big thank you to all the performers and staff who made this such a memorable and festive evening. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
