On Wednesday 20th November, we welcomed students and their families to join us for the 2024 Celebration of Success. Despite knowing they were receiving awards, there was a lot of anticipation and excitement in the air with students trying to work out what they thought they’d been nominated for!
The evening was to celebrate our current Year 10 and Year 12 students and their achievements of the previous academic year. For Year 10 celebrating the hard work, effort and enthusiasm of Year 9. And for Year 12, celebrating their GCSE journey.
Over 80 awards were presented on the evening, with each award comprising of a certificate and gift card were handed out.
A huge thank you goes to our musical performers for the evening; Lucy Zhao Year 7, Joan Buhalagarha Year 12, Amber Saqib Year 12 and Celia Ruane Year 13. They performances were truly outstanding! Prizes were given for each subject, alongside Ethos and GRIT awards, all nominated by class teachers.
There was also the Head of Lower School Award, won by Jorgie Beaton, and a Head of Upper School Award, won by Henna Akhtar. The final award of the evening was the prestigious Headteachers’ ‘Courage and Confidence’ award which was presented by Mrs Howell to Libby Reilly in Year 12.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our students- it was a fantastic evening. We are already looking forward to the Year 8 and 8 Celebration evening in July!
