In June, A-level Biology students from Sacred Heart High School participated in the Royal Society of Biology’s Intermediate Olympiad. This prestigious competition saw over 15,000 students from more than 700 schools taking part.
At Sacred Heart, 23 students entered the competition. We are proud to announce that Joan Buhalagarha and Jenine Salva were awarded Highly Commended certificates, while Tesna Saji, Sydney Bungay, and Doreen Nwankwagu received Commendation certificates. These results place them within the top 60% of all participants – an excellent achievement!
The Olympiad is designed to stretch and challenge students, covering a wide range of biology topics from cellular biology and ecology to genetics. All our participants demonstrated dedication and enthusiasm, and they should be extremely proud of their efforts and accomplishments.
Well done to everyone who took part!
