Youth Climate Summit 2025

A group of enthusiastic Year 8 and Year 9 students were invited to take part in the Youth Climate Summit at Newcastle’s Civic Centre. Hosted by Newcastle City Council, the event brought together schools from across the city to explore ways of tackling climate change.

Throughout the day, students took part in interactive workshops focused on key issues such as food waste, sustainable transport, and local governance. They collaborated to design an initiative aimed at promoting sustainability within our own school and presented their ideas to an audience of peers, staff, and organisations.

Our students had a fantastic day sharing their insights, learning from others, and proudly representing our school in discussions about building a more sustainable future.
