Class Mass with 8S

8S did a brilliant job leading Mass in the chapel last week to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. It was a really special way to come together as a school community during this important month of May, which is dedicated to Mary.

Before the Mass, students spent some quiet, reflective time in chapel lessons thinking about Mary and what she means to us. This helped set a calm and thoughtful atmosphere going into the service.

During the Mass, 8S showed great confidence when delivering the readings, and they put real effort into preparing their own bidding prayers. These included thoughtful intentions wishing good luck to our GCSE and A Level students, as well as prayers for peace and for our Sacred Heart community.

A big thank you to 8S for all their hard work and to everyone who joined us. We’re also very grateful to Father Damien for celebrating Mass with us and making it such a meaningful occasion.
