The best way to learn a language is to chat with native speakers! With this in mind, SHHS Languages and Culture Club presents the Languages Café!
Inspired by events run by Newcastle and Durham Universities, the Languages Café offers students the chance to connect with other speakers of the language they are learning. Currently our main languages are Korean, Italian, French, Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese but the list is ever-growing!
All you have to do if you are interested in joining us is come along to LN1 during Friday lunchtimes and join a table with the country flag of the language you wish to speak. Then you can start to chat with the native speakers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Topics usually include current affairs, leisure time activities, holidays and much more! There is no pressure to speak but everyone has the opportunity to contribute if they wish. We look forward to seeing you there!
