Miss Baldwin (Head of Key Stage 3) delivered the first of a series of 'Girls on Board' assembly presentations to Year 7. The theme 'Girls on Board' is a preventative approach that focuses on how girls deal with friendships and bullying. In particular the difference between ‘bullying’ and ‘banter’.
A series of these assemblies are delivered every year to all Year Groups. At Sacred Heart we have zero tolerance to bullying and use many resources across our curriculum to support and guide our girls in this area.
Our aim is to encourage all students to develop the resilience needed to understand and resolve conflict in a safe and healthy way as they approach adulthood. Focused 'Girls on Board' group sessions are held as a reactive measure throughout the year to support those girls in need of extra support.
Focus sessions are delivered by the pastoral team and have resulted in successful outcomes allowing girls to feel happier both in and out of school.
