Hannah Waterhouse in Year 9 has had a very strong season for Elswick Harriers. Hannah can put it best in her own words:
“During the 2021-22 cross country season I competed in the U15 girls' races for Elswick Harriers. This season was particularly challenging because at the end of 2020, I underwent surgery on my ear resulting in a loss of fitness and motivation.
My PB was 19:10 at the XC event held at Alnwick Castle. In this race, I was positioned 28th overall and 15th in my pack. My team came 1st out of 53 for the entire season.
This month, I was awarded Athlete of the Month by my club which represents dedication and hard work. I very much enjoy running and athletics as a whole and hope to continue to improve my performance.”
