This week, our Year 7 students took part in a series of engaging and informative Keeping Safe sessions, welcoming Ryan from the Fire Service and Simon from Blue Tiger into school.

Ryan spoke to students about the impact that anti-social behaviour can have on individuals and communities. He also explored how students can stay safe and make sensible choices if they witness or come across situations involving fire or dangerous behaviour.

Simon delivered an engaging First Aid session, giving students the opportunity to learn and practise a range of potentially life-saving skills. These included CPR, the recovery position and how to administer an EpiPen, alongside advice on how to respond to a variety of common health emergencies.

Our Year 7 students participated enthusiastically throughout the sessions, asking questions, sharing their ideas and demonstrating a real willingness to learn. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many students recognising how useful it is to have the knowledge and confidence to respond appropriately in situations that could arise in everyday life.

A big thank you to Ryan and Simon for sharing their expertise and helping our students develop these important skills. It was fantastic to see our Year 7 students engaging so positively with such valuable learning.
