KS3 Dance Workshop

On Thursday 5th March, our Year 7 and Year 8 students took part in an inspiring dance workshop, led by a professional practitioner from Dance City’s Centre for Advanced Training in Newcastle. This nationally recognised programme supports and develops young dancers through high-quality, pre-professional training, giving students a valuable insight into pathways within the dance industry.

During the session, students were introduced to contemporary dance technique, exploring fluid movement, dynamics, and expression. They worked on developing short phrases of choreography, building their confidence and technical control.

Our KS3 students were fantastic throughout the afternoon, demonstrating enthusiasm, focus, and a willingness to challenge themselves. They approached each task with maturity and determination, leaving a lasting impression on the workshop leader.
