February is LGBT+ history month. This is an opportunity for us to celebrate LGBT+ peoples’ contribution to our society: their history, lives and experiences.
As we explore the themes of equality and community in our school, we recognise our responsibility to ensure that Sacred Heart is a safe space for members of the LGBT+ community. We remember that we must work together to create an environment where LGBT+ people are free to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilled lives.
This month we pray for greater tolerance, acceptance, respect and compassion in the world.
