This year’s Lower School Culture Day was a vibrant celebration of the diversity that makes our Sacred Heart community so special. Bigger than ever, 86 pupils from Years 7 to 10 were involved, proudly representing more than 20 countries and sharing their cultures through music, dance and traditional dress.
The lunchtime event featured 13 groups performing beautifully choreographed dances to an incredibly supportive audience. Pupils looked fantastic in their colourful cultural outfits and demonstrated immense pride in their heritage. The event celebrated the importance of culture in shaping who we are, while encouraging respect, understanding and appreciation of different traditions and backgrounds.
All the students involved worked incredibly hard to prepare their performances, showing excellent teamwork, commitment and creativity. Thank you to the sixth formers and pupils backstage who ensured the performance ran so smoothly.
The event raised £160 for St Cuthbert's Care, thanks to the generosity of those attending. A special well done to our outstanding compères, Florence, Livia, Goodness and Fatima, who hosted the celebration with confidence, enthusiasm and professionalism.
