Novena for Madeleine Sophie

This year, we are celebrating 100 years of Madeleines Sophie's canonisation.  Her Feast Day falls on the 25th May when we are on half term, but to mark this special occasion in school we will be carrying out a 'Novena'.

A novena is a devotional prayer practice in Christianity, that typically lasts nine days (our will take place over five) where prayers are repeated and/or focused on seeking intercession from a particular saint. 

Starting on Monday, form tutors will receive the first of the five prayers about Madeleine Sophie's life that should be said each morning in during tutor time. 

We will end our whole school recognition and celebration of our Foundress' life and works with a 'pause and reflect' at the end of period 5 on Friday, 23rd May.
