At Sacred Heart we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where every child can thrive. We understand that life can sometimes be challenging for our students, and we want to ensure that our students and their families know about the range of pastoral support available at school.
If your child ever feels they need someone to talk to or requires additional support, they can approach their Personal Tutor, Head of Year as well as seeking support in other ways such as:
School Website: Our dedicated pastoral support page provides information on mental health resources, coping strategies, and contact details for our pastoral team. It’s an excellent place to start for both students and parents.
Student Planner: Every student’s planner contains key contact information for pastoral and safeguarding services. This ensures students always have access to support details at hand.
School Counsellors: Our qualified counsellors are available for one-to-one sessions with students. Appointments can be arranged via the pastoral team or students can attend a drop in session at lunchtime on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
Notice Boards: Throughout the school, we have placed multiple notice boards with quick access information. These boards are regularly updated with details about wellbeing workshops, helplines, and drop-in sessions.
We encourage you to talk to your child about these support options and reassure them that it’s okay to seek help whenever they need it.
