At Sacred Heart, pupils have been deeply engaged in remembering the life and legacy of Pope Francis. His teachings and actions have inspired many, and our school community has come together to honour his memory.
During form time, pupils have been praying for Pope Francis, reflecting on his contributions to the Church and the world.
Our Goals Ambassadors have also taken a creative approach by crafting doves with messages and prayers for Pope Francis. These doves symbolise peace and hope, values that Pope Francis championed throughout his papacy. The doves are displayed around his photograph in our Chapel, so we can remember his lasting impact.
In Religious Studies lessons, the focus has been on Pope Francis as 'The People's Pope'. Pupils have been learning about his journey, his commitment to social justice, and his efforts to bring people together.
Our school community extends our heartfelt gratitude to Pope Francis for his humble service and unwavering dedication Thank you for showing us the true meaning of faith and compassion.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
