THEATRE VISIT TO &JULIET

On Thursday 5th June, GCSE Drama students visited Newcastle Theatre Royal to watch a performance of & Juliet. This hilarious new musical is a retelling of the tragic ending of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' asking, what would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo? Juliet's new story is cleverly entwined with classic pop hits that had students and staff singing and dancing along. 

This is the second theatre trip for GCSE students this year, as they attended a performance of Kinky Boots in May. Students also have lots to look forward to in the next academic year, with theatre trips to see the new Mrs Doubtfire musical and Matilda booked.
