At the end of Sept and the start of Oct the last 3 bronze groups from the 2021-22 DofE cohort got to take part in their expeditions.
On the practice expeditions the students walk with their group leader and get to practice their navigation skills prior to the assessed expeditions. They had an even bigger challenge this time as the campsite had to change to their route directions stopped halfway. They had to work out the best way to the campsite for the last 3km. They did a fantastic job, and all made it back before dark.
The weather was very cold with temperatures down to 2 degrees overnight. The clear sky led to a great sun set though.
