Year 12 Study Ambassadors’ Assemblies

Over the academic year, the Year 12 Study Ambassadors have delivered a series of assemblies to every year group across the school.
In assemblies with Key Stage 4, the focus was clear and purposeful: practical study and revision advice based on real experience.
The Year 12 students spoke candidly about what they wish they had understood earlier; from effective revision techniques and time management strategies, to avoiding common pitfalls and managing exam pressure.
KS4 students were encouraged to:
Start revision early and space learning over time
Use active revision strategies rather than passive re-reading and highlighting
Practise exam questions regularly
Build structured revision timetables
Seek help proactively from teachers
For Key Stage 3, the assemblies focused on the Professional Learner Programme and how it develops progressively across all three key stages.
The ambassadors clearly explained:
How the Professional Learner Programme builds essential academic habits over time
The strong links between the Professional Learner Programme and the GRiT Programme
How the Professional Learner Toolkit supports organisation, independence and resilience
The importance of establishing effective revision strategies and positive learning environments early

By connecting these ideas, the ambassadors helped younger students see the bigger picture and understand how the habits they form now lay the groundwork for future success.
A huge thank you to our Year 12 Study Ambassadors. They were AMAZING and we are incredibly proud of you.
