Year 7 Welcome Mass

This half-term, our Year 7 students began their Sacred Heart journey with a Welcome Mass at St Robert’s Church led by Fr Mariadass. This event celebrated the start of their time with us and the friendships, faith, and connections that lie ahead.

The Mass focused on the Goal of Community, inviting students to reflect on what it means to be part of a supportive and caring school. Through prayers, readings, and reflections, they explored how they can contribute to the life of the school while feeling supported by those around them. The experience encouraged students to see themselves as part of something bigger, where each member of the community matters.

Attending the Mass in the local church also offered a wonderful opportunity to connect with the wider parish, showing students that community extends beyond school walls. The service ended with a special blessing, leaving Year 7 inspired to nurture their faith, support one another, and embrace the spirit of belonging that is at the heart of Sacred Heart.
