Our Year 7 students took part in their very first chapel lesson as part of their Religious Studies curriculum—a special moment in their journey at Sacred Heart.
The session was an introduction to the spiritual life of our school, offering students a chance to reflect on what it truly means to welcome someone and how we can begin to build a strong, supportive Year 7 community. Through thoughtful discussion and shared experiences, students explored the values of kindness, friendship, and inclusion.
We also spent time in prayerful reflection, focusing on the powerful scripture from Jeremiah:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love.”
This verse reminded us of God’s constant and unconditional love, and encouraged students to think about how they can share that love with others in their daily lives.
To put this reflection into action, students were invited to take part in our “Heart of Kindness” Mission:
Show kindness to at least one person each day this week—especially someone who might be in need of a friend.
We’re excited to see how Year 7 continue to grow in faith, friendship, and kindness throughout the year.
