Our Year 9 students recently took part in a chapel lesson focused on the theme of human dignity and the image of God—a key part of our Religious Studies journey at Sacred Heart.
During the session, students reflected on the profound truth that each person is created out of love by God and bears His image. Through discussion and shared experiences, we explored what it means to recognise and respect the dignity of others in our school community and daily lives.
Students were encouraged to think about how they can reflect God’s love in their actions, words, and relationships—showing kindness, respect, and understanding to everyone they meet.
To put this reflection into practice, students were invited to take part in our “Reflecting God’s Love” Mission: Notice and affirm the dignity of at least one person each day this week—especially someone who might feel overlooked or in need of a friend.
We are excited to see how our Year 9 students continue to celebrate the worth of every person and live out God’s love in our school and wider community.
