Huge congratulations to all of our Year 13 students who have shown incredible resilience, working so hard over the last two years. As a Year group you were unable to sit your GCSE examinations in 2021 and so this summer’s exams are the first external assessments you have ever taken, which makes your achievements even more special. We are very proud of you all!

The results this year are exceptionally good and are testament to the commitment of our girls and the teachers who taught them.

We have one student who has achieved 4 A*s as well as a good number of girls with a combination of A* and A grades going off to study at Cambridge, and other high tariff courses at the best universities in this country.

We have also had great success with our vocational courses, with students achieving the highest Distinction* grade. Coupled with this, we have students starting apprenticeships with Hatrick, Newcastle United, Accenture, Dental Nursing and Project Choice.

You are all exceptional, inspiring, and talented young women and we couldn’t be more pleased or proud of you.

We are so proud of our GCSE students who have achieved an amazing set of results this summer. All their hard work has paid off and we couldn’t be happier for them.

As GCSEs return to the pre-pandemic standards of 2019 we can report, contrary to the national trend, our attainment 8 score (the National benchmark) has risen, with the proportion of students achieving the highest grades of 7, 8 and 9 also rising to 1 in 3 students here at Sacred Heart.

Threshold passes in English and Maths have both risen by 10% at the strong pass and 5% at standard pass. Congratulations to all and we look forward to welcoming many of our girls back to Sacred Heart Sixth Form in September.
